WE STAND TOGETHER
A week like no other. A week that has thrown the rulebook out of the window, kicked it around the park for a bit then hoyed it onto the fire!
On Thursday night at 8pm GMT we joined together from our lockdown homes to give a show of appreciation to those superheroes dressed in scrubs as families, friends, communities, towns and cities united to applaud the men and women who are fighting to save lives day and night 24 hours a day.
This week for us brewers, it’s been a real case of what next? How do we keep our customers hydrated with quality liquid? Can we carry on brewing? What does the future look like? When will we be able to invite you back to our taproom and events space? Most importantly, is there anything we can do to help others during this crisis?
All of the questions we have asked ourselves pale into insignificance given the current situation save for the last one, the most important message is clear #stayhome #staysafe.
Whilst we have a bit more time on our hands than usual it has got us musing…
This was meant to be an exciting new decade, filled with promise and optimism, not filled with this uncertainty that has left us closing our doors for the first time in 20 YEARS.
Ultimately and most importantly it confirmed that people’s health and well being are, and ALWAYS will be, the number one priority.
The hospitality industry is a spiritually rewarding community to belong to; there is no doubt that we all LOVE doing what we do.
Nevertheless, it is YOU that are our lifeblood, our raison d’être and without you, we have no pulse.
Not enough words exist to explain the warmth and gratefulness we feel for you all. Our hospitality friends know our exact feelings. We are in it together… albeit at a minimum of 2 metres apart.
When the day comes that this awful period is over, we will once again celebrate together with you, an almighty carnival of food, drink, dancing and laughter.
In the meantime, to those of you that have purchased from our new web shop we are of course hugely grateful for the support you have shown us during the past week.
In these uncertain times what WE CAN guarantee is that the beers we will deliver from the 6th of April were brewed and packaged with hygiene as the watchword and will be transported to you safely and with great cleanliness to ensure this nasty son of a virus STAYS AWAY.
