IMPORTANT CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT
LONG READ… BUT PLEASE READ IT ALL x
It is with the utmost regret we must inform you that our Tap Room doors will close today until further notice.
All Live Shows, Gigs and Food Events that would have taken place in March and April are postponed and will be rescheduled.
If you have tickets for any of these events please be patient with us whilst we find new dates.
We have ceased brewery production but we will be launching an online can store very very soon…. more about that tomorrow.
FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH… HERE’S WHY WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO CLOSE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT:
We have been put in the totally uncomfortable position whereby, whilst social distancing is being vigorously recommended (and for very good reason) no direct instruction is being given to those in the hospitality sector.
It’s like being told not to drink milk but failing to tell the milkman not to deliver, it’s like being told not to take a taxi but taxis are sitting idle on the street, it’s like being told not to get a haircut but the hairdresser/barber is still open and the lights are on.
We absolutely adore being of service to you, for now however we must withdraw.
We ARE NOT politicians or scientists and we have no idea what happens next.
We ARE duty bound to keep you and our wonderful staff as safe as possible.
We are being told to stand behind our employees whilst not being given any idea of how we can do that given the advice to not visit us.
We will not stand behind anyone.
We will stand in front of them and do our best to shield and protect them however we can.
So our first step is to stand in front of you, our customers, and shield you by distancing us all for a while.
This naturally makes us very sad.
The very next step will be to stand in front of our employees and do our best to protect them.
To be honest we have no idea how long we will be able to do this given the lack of clarity and support that has been displayed by government to date.
